Yuppeace - WYD 1995

One of the most unforgettable experiences that
have a profound meaning in my life was World
Youth Day 1995. It was the second time the Pope
actually visited Philippines. Don Bosco and the
Salesians were the organizers of "Yuppeace" then.
Organized and spiritualized group of people
responsible for prayer rallies, taize gatherings,
social conferences and animating action songs
such as the ever popular "Celebrate, Jesus,
Celebrate" and "Shine, Jesus, Shine." The
animation was so intense that when it
reaches "..set our hearts on fire.." everyones spirit
was blazed with energy. The theme was "As the
Father has sent me, so am I sending you." It has
something to do, too, with "Faith, Hope and Love,"
Thus, my email address havefaithhopelove@.
Seeing the Pope even for a few yards away was
extremely a wonderful encounter apart from the
solemn celebration of the culminating mass.
Grace, mercy, power seem to radiate
spontaneously and immensely coupled with
mystery. Indescribable but truly expressible.

Of course, it was a long shot leading a life just as it
was conveyed there. But at least there was
something to ponder on and guide me through the
course of my life. This kind of event should not bear
fruitless in time and definitely would not appear as
a one-time social affair only but has to flourish,
move and live in our hearts, our families' and
friends'. At least try, keep it alive and share it. As it
has mine.

To all, I share in your determination to cherish the
memories, the works and love of His Holiness,
Pope John Paul II.

--
John Dominic Dalida
Youth
Bosconian

By the way, I read all Dan Browns book.
And conclave struck me like its big deal before and
I dont know why.

Thanks to my friend Sherilyn for sharing me deep thoughts and quotes..

1. "I would like to beg you to have patience with everything unresolved in your heart and to try to love the questions themselves as if they were locked rooms or books written in a very foreign language. Don't search for the answers, which could not be given to you now, because you would not be able to live them. And the point is, to live everything. Live the questions now. Perhaps then, someday far in the future, you will gradually, without even noticing it, live your way into the answer." - Rainier Maria Rilke

2. "Beeing deeply loved gives you strength, while loving deeply gives you courage." - Lao Tzu
